Private Pillow's™ Design

The picture to the right shows the basic components to the Private Pillows. ™

The sample shown is of a standard size pillow which is 20" x 26" (51cm x 66cm). We will also be producing king size pillows which measures 20" x 36" (51cm x 91cm).

The inner pocket shown on the top (which goes inside of the private pillow) is made from a waterproof material such as vinyl and is heat welded closed on 3 out of 4 sides. One of the 15" sides has a white zipper to seal it shut. The color of the material will also be white.

The outer pillow pocket is made from a cotton or cotton blend material and the inner fill material is a hypoallergenic polyester fiberfill. The color of the material will also be white. Threading for any sewing will also be white.

The prototype was constructed by using two standard sized pillows. The pillows were cut at the seams and half of the filler was taken out of each pillow.

The pillows were then sewn back together and then sewn to one another on 3 out of the 4 sides (leaving one of the 20" sides open) and creating a pocket. The pillows were then flipped inside out to create inward seams for a more polished look and the 20" opening is to be sealed with a white invisible zipper. The flipping of the pillows inside out is not necessary if the stitching on the outer seams is done nicely.

You can see that the waterproof liner slides easily out of the pillow for easy cleaning and then can be reinserted to store your items inside it which in turn is inside the pillow and covered with your pillow case for a discreet hiding place!
